Text of Hints

The text of the hints in HintWiki is under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 license: in brief, you may use the hints for both commercial and non-commercial purposes, as long as you give due credit. If you make any changes, you have to share the result under the same terms.

Images

It is desirable for images in hint pages to also fall under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 license. If you upload an original work and don't say otherwise, it will be treated the same way as page text.

For things like game screenshots, however, the game publisher likely holds the copyright. Don't use them unless you know it's okay.

Material From Outside Sources

If you add anything from an external source, e.g., text, images, sound files, etc., make sure the copyright holder agrees, and give a reference (preferably a link) to the original source.
