Adventure Games
There is a lot of variety in games, so much of what follows may not apply to the game you are currently playing.

What are adventure games?
Adventure games are generally single-player computer games in which the emphasis is on storytelling and puzzle-solving. Some classic adventure games include Myst, The Secret of Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, and RHEM.

Tips
- Pick up everything you see. It may be useful later. A well-designed game will let (or force) you to go back and pick up any crucial items you may have missed, but you may need to traipse halfway across town (in the game) to get it.
- Be observant. Much as in a mystery novel, your goal is to assemble disparate elements to solve a mystery.
- Save your game regularly. In a well-designed game, you will never get into a situation from which you cannot get out, and games in which you need to die to gain important information have become mercifully rare, but software still crashes, and you can lose an hour's work if you don't save from time to time.
